Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (Pilgrim gear)

Thoughts:

I played AC Odyssey despite never really liking the Assassins Creed franchise, but ended up really enjoying the beautiful open world exploration. Thus, was I thrilled to shoot with Infinity Spiral Photography to recreate a lot of the environments of the game, including shots of her bonded eagle Ikaros – Nicco the broad-winged hawk did fine as stand-in! Chris sure made lakeside Milwaukee look like the Greek islands.

Construction notes:

In keeping with the time period accuracy as much as possible, I stuck to all natural textiles like linens, cottons and leathers, the gold disk being the exception of foam and thermoplastic, painted and covered in gold leaf to give it that beaten bronze look. Hand dyed and stained veg tan leather, and the bracers/shin guard was my first time carving and hand-tooling leather, which was a hell of a learning curve, but now I want to use it on everything. I’m very proud of how those details turned out, they took many days of sitting over a table with a hammer and chisel to get right. Finally, I styled her hair closer to the concept art instead of the game, it just looked more natural.
